If you weren't blessed in the eyelash department but want your peepers to pop, you're in luck! These days the selection to choose from is almost limitless, and there's a lash option out there for practically everyone. Mascaras are now formulated to make your lashes longer and thicker, and many cosmetic companies are designing formulas that specifically help grow your lashes.

But there's nothing quite like a good ole' pair of false lashes to help give your eyes that special "wow" factor. False lashes are a great way to exaggerate the eyes but at the same time it's important to keep them looking natural. Here's a quick and easy guide to making false lashes work for you.

Beauty doesn't have to take hours to achieve, especially when you're on the go. Some days just don't allow for the primping marathon, so I have three must-haves to get you gorgeous and out of the door on five minutes or less.

Many of us know what works for us and have the products to enhance our best features, but less is more. If you can achieve a great look without 10 products, then I say go for it!

Here are my top three picks for the on-the-go girl:

Mascara
Having tried almost every mascara on the market, I can confidently tell you that its a key part of your daily routine. Mascaras now range in price and color and even make your lashes grow, but there are a few that I keep close and stay loyal to.

CoverGirl LashBlast Mascara ($6.50, www.target.com) has become a staple product for me. It has fantastic coverage and doesn't flake! It's affordable and can be found at any drug or superstore. It leaves you with big, bold lashes that get you noticed. I love, love, love this product.

On the higher end, the classic is Lancome Hypnose Drama ($24.50, www.sephora.com). It attends to every lash for even coverage and definition and doesn't look heavy or gloopy. In seconds you will have big battable lashes.

Now that the warm weather has arrived, the shininess we dread is along for the ride, too. It's one thing to have a wonderful bronze glow but another to resemble a disco ball. Whether you have oily skin or not, these options can help combat the shine and keep you looking cool and collected all year long.

Primers and Mattifying Products
Using a primer before foundation not only helps your foundation stay in place all day but it can also tone down shine, because many primers have a slight bit of powder in the formula.

SmashBox Photofinish Bronzing Primer ($38, www.sephora.com) is a favorite and gives a lovely glow so you can use it alone or underneath your foundation.
Laura Mercier Secret Finish Mattifying Gel ($27, www.sephora.com) is also great to use with or without foundation and will keep you shine free and fresh all day.

Ah, concealer. How many times has it intimidated us because we're not sure how or when to use it? We have all seen concealer gone wrong: when the ring-around-the-eye has reared it's ugly head. Well, there is a shade for you and a way to match your tone perfectly. As a makeup artist, I work will all skin tones and sometimes need to mix colors to find the perfect shade. Once applied correctly, concealer can be your best friend (especially after a late night out that didn't involve much sleep). Here is a brief guide to making it work for you!

How to find the right shade
  • First, get a magnifying mirror (yes, the one that shows every nook and cranny) and look at your lovely face. Most women have at least two tones in their skin, while some women have more. Do you have yellow undertones? Redness? Purple, blue or greenish tones under your eyes? Is the eye area dry? These questions will help you understand what you are looking for. Concealers with yellow, peach, sienna and caramel tones work best on women of color, and you want to neutralize by using opposing shades. Redness can be counteracted with green concealer and peach can diffuse blue or purple tones. On darker skin tones, deep orange or sienna-based concealers can work beautifully, while lighter skin can handle yellow or peach. Don't be afraid to take your time and try different shades. Once blended correctly, the result is magical.
Makeup Forever Camouflage Cream Palette ($28, sephora.com)
  • You want to find a concealer that is one shade lighter than your skin while considering your foundation shade. I always do the half-face test. Try the concealer with your foundation applied on one side and also without foundation on the other side. See if your foundation is affecting the tone and whether you can wear the concealer alone. Once you have found the right shade(s), then its time to prep!
