As the largest organ in our body, we owe it to ourselves to take great care of our skin. Most people have an arsenal of products in their cabinets that cleanse, exfoliate, treat and moisturize. The products we use to moisturize the rest of our body are important, but what about our faces? Well, that's an entirely different story. The skin on our faces deserves a little more attention, so we've highlighted a few important do's and dont's to live by.

DO
: Wash your face daily with a gentle cleanser. It's imperative to wash at night to remove the day's sweat and grime. The best time to do this is in the shower when your pores are open and ready to purge.

DON'T
: Go to bed with your makeup on! Not only do you look awful in the morning, but it can clog your pores and lead to breakouts. You also want to use a good eye-makeup remover at night to ensure proper removal.

One of the hottest and most revolutionary products on the market is by a new cosmetics company called Glamorous Chicks Cosmetics. I recently went to the company's product launch and, boy, was I impressed!

The one product that really stood out to me was the line of beautiful mineral pigments. Not only can you use them on your eyes, but the pigments can also be used six different ways -- eye shadow, lip gloss, mascara, nail polish, eyeliner, blush or bronzer. What a value!

The pigments come in more than 30 colors, so you'll be sure to find the right shade to create your own glamorous look. I had a chance to chat with Glamorous Chicks' CEO, Shana Joseph, to find out more about the line.

What made you decide to start Glamorous Chicks Cosmetics?

I realized it was time to pursue my true passion. The beauty industry always interested me, so I researched and acquired a makeup business that I operated for awhile. I then realized that I was selling someone else's product, marketing someone else's brand -- and even worse -- putting money in someone else's pockets. So I decided to fully empower myself by creating my own company and investing in my own products. From this inspiration, Glamorous Chicks was born!

Your pigments can be used in so many different ways. Did you formulate them this way or did you discover the versatility afterward?

We formulated our products to be versatile because this is definitely the age of the smart and conscious consumer. With everyone watching their pockets, it is important to offer consumers more bang for their bucks. That is exactly what our eye shadow offers. Amazingly, our shadows can be used in at least six different ways: wet or dry, as nail polish, blush, bronzer, eyeliner, mascara or lip gloss. The product has great staying power and the pigments are fabulous. We also have an amazing skin care line, which includes moisturizers, toners, makeup remover, cleanser and makeup primer, to name a few. Our products are made of mineral and are 100 percent natural, so they are perfect for all skin types and very gentle on your skin. Our products are great additions to the makeup bags of women who love to look fantastic and take excellent care of their face.

Glamorous Chicks products can be purchased online at www.glamorouschickscosmetics.com. You can check out their blog to find out more about their fall 2010 promotions and view how-to videos for their products.

As a makeup artist, it's only natural that I know my share of beauty tricks and tips. However, there's nothing wrong with getting tips from other professionals on the front line. My good friend and professional makeup artist Bradford Knight has cultured the faces of many television and movie stars -- including Rosario Dawson, S. Epatha Merkerson and Camila Alves. I recently caught up with the makeup guru to discuss beauty dos and dont's. Ladies, take notes.

Tis' the season to get married, and many brides are gearing up for their perfect day. You have the dress, the caterer, the flowers and the perfect man, but do you have your BBF (bride's best friend)? Yes, finding the makeup artist is always a difficult task because you want to look absolutely perfect on your special day. Rightly so! Finding the right makeup artist is trial and error, and it may take some time to find someone who gets your vision. But the effort is so worth it. Don't risk it by waiting until the last minute either. I'm sure you have a friend who can "do makeup," but bridal makeup is very different from everyday makeup and should be done to your liking. You should just be able to sit back, relax and enjoy your moment.

Here are some tips on finding your BBF:

So you've done your face and you're feeling gorgeous, and then you walk outside into the sweltering heat. Ugh! The last thing you want to do after carefully applying your makeup is for it to melt away like the Wicked Witch of the West. We all know summer can really take its toll, and we're here to help combat the meltdown. My newest discovery and, frankly, one of my favorites is a product called Model in a Bottle ($21, www.modelinabottle.com). This magic potion will help you keep the face all day long! We're loving that right? Right!

What is it? It's a matte finishing spray that allows you to keep your makeup in place and looking fresh for hours and hours. It basically locks in the look so you don't have to keep touching up all day. It's tried and true! While absorbing excess oil, it doesn't clog your pores or dry your skin out. You will forget you have it on!

It's time to have fun with color with the faith that it will stay vibrant and beautiful all day. There is nothing worse then sweating off your makeup in this humidity.

Makeup Forever is now offering its beautiful Aqua Eyes line in creme shadows ($22, sephora.com) and they are gorgeous! Strong pigments with creamy textures allow easy application and great blending ability. They don't crease or smudge, AND the best part is that they are waterproof! Yes, you can have beautiful fun looks while at that pool party or beach getaway. We are talking long lasting to the 10th degree in 90-degree weather. Some of the colors can be worn as cheek or lip color, as well. Love it!

Now, how do you apply such pigmented cremes?
