The 2007 American Idol winner arrived in a one-shoulder pink satin dress with strappy black stilettos sandals and a voluminous mane of cascading curls this morning at New York's Bryant Park Hotel, where she launched a scent named in honor of her fans -- Because of You.

"Orange is my favorite color to wear and perform in, and is also the color I used to bring awareness to skin cancer, which a very close friend died of," said Sparks, of the time a couple years ago when she streaked her locks the bright citrus shade and sported matching bracelets. "It's the main note in my fragrance, in honor of Wendy."

With top notes of clementine, orange blossom and white imperial currant, the splashy scent blends mid notes of nectarine, orchid and coral charm peony with a base of sheer musk, vanilla bean, Baltic amber and blonde woods. The shocking pink glint of the bottle and package conjures images of the iconic '80's scent, Electric Youth.

"I wanted a very holdable bottle with a girly look that catches the eye," said the songstress of the dewy scent, which will be marketed to the 16 to 30 female demographic. An affordable $14.95 price tag for the 2.5 fl oz eau de parfum will further be discounted to $9.50 as a special introductory offer through this month at dots.com. (To read more, visit StyleList.com)

Score one for Team Curvy!

Britain has launched Just as Beautiful -- the first glossy magazine devoted to plus-size women, the Daily Mail reports.

Previously a digital publication, the pro-curves tome just debuted as a bimonthly magazine featuring only models who are a UK size 14 (a US 10) or higher, according to the paper.

Kate Moss need not apply.

What´s more, the magazine will reportedly ban dieting tips and airbrushing.

"If you´re a woman over Size 14, you´re likely to be stuck for something to read that doesn´t make you feel like you´re too big or 'wrong' because you´re not a Size Zero," editor Sue Thomason tells readers in the issue.

"We want our readers to know that they don't need to change their appearance to 'fit in' or be truly happy." (Read the rest here)

This season, the beauty world is adding a whole new meaning to the phrase "denim on denim."

Sultry, smoky-blue eyes ruled the fall 2010 runways of Derek Lam, Rachel Roy, Cesar Galindo, Leanne Marshall and Walter. And hot, young stars like Ke$ha, Nicole Richie and Rihanna have all made their peepers pop in this cool hue.

"Denim is great because everybody looks good in it," says celebrity makeup artist and cosmetics creator Bobbi Brown. "A blue smoky eye is an unexpected and stylish variation on the traditional smoky eye, making it a little bit more fun."

And while this beauty trend may bring about memories of the '60s, Brown says blue eyeshadow does not have to be overwhelming. "Look for shades of blue that incorporate black and brown tones, which will give them the richness of denim and keep the colors modern." (Read the rest here.)

It's normal practice for nail salons to charge for extra designs and services, but what about extra weight? According to WSB TV, that was exactly the case for Michelle Fonville. The Georgia woman received a startling surprise after receiving a manicure, pedicure and eyebrow arch from Natural Nails in Dekalb County, Georgia, when the owner tacked on an extra $5 dollars to her bill for being overweight.

Salon manager Kim Tran explained to Fonville that the extra fee was meant to cover the cost of replacing the $2,500 salon chair, in the chance that it broke.

"I said, Ma'am, you can't charge me $5 more. That's discrimination because of my weight," Fonville told WSB TV.
