Whether you've been playing in lipsticks since you were four or just purchased your first at 24, you've definitely heard about MAC Cosmetics. Known for their vibrant promotional ads and collections, the company is more than just a brand that makes you want to drop pennies on virtually every eye shadow that they carry.

MAC Cosmetics started their MAC AIDS Fund in 1994, which spearheaded the Viva Glam lipsticks and lip glosses. 100 percent of the proceeds from Viva Glam lipsticks and glosses go to raising money for AIDS awareness. What's even more beautiful than the lip colors and the cause are the often provocative and ultra-likeable spokespersons behind each campaign.

With hair as red as Rihanna's, the 'Only Girl in the World' singer has no other choice but to keep her makeup subtle and toned down. Not like we're complaining.

A barely-there makeup look can be both refreshing and stunning. Whether you consider yourself a makeup novice or pro, achieving a look like this requires four products that you probably already have in your makeup stash.

A pink eye palette:

Create a subtle message with a pleasing pink palette for eyes and cheeks. We like Bobbi Brown's Shimmer Brick palette in Rose ($38, Sephora.com).

A lengthening mascara:

Even if you decide to skip out on the eye shadow, you will want to draw some attention to those beautiful lashes of yours. If you aren't quite ready to apply false lashes, try Rimmel's Lash Accelerator mascara ($7.99, Rimmel.com). It gives you super-long lashes that will last throughout the day with zero smudging.

Brown eyeliner:
Don't get us wrong, we love the definition that a good black liner can provide, but on days when you want a little subtle action, a brown eyeliner is a great alternative. NYX's Earth Tone eye liner ($3.50, Nyxcosmetics.com) really complements brown and hazel eyes, making it perfect for a neutral-eye makeup day.

Just a touch of blush or bronzer:

Brown skin really pops with just a bit of color on the cheeks. NARS Torrid blush ($26, Sephora.com) gives a certain glow without too much of a disco-ball effect. Just a dab on your cheeks and you'll be drawing attention to those gorgeous cheekbones of yours.

A nude lip:

Girlfriend, if you don't have a good nude lipstick in your makeup bag, make it your business to get one ASAP. We absolutely love MAC Cosmetics' Creme d' Nude ($14.50 MacCosmetics.com). If you find that nude lipstick is too cool for your skin tone, you can warm it up by pairing it with a brown lip liner. MAC's Chestnut lip liner is a definite must-have for all brown girls.

While Rihanna is totally rocking this look, don't forget to make it your own. Not digging a brown eyeliner? Go for a blue one. Do you prefer volume over length when it comes to your lashes? Grab your favorite volumizing mascara instead. Rock what you've got and love your gorgeous self while doing it!

Tell us, BV women, which makeup look do you fancy most?
