Although she could easily get lost in the shadow of older sister Beyonce, Solange Knowles has always been her own person and is for sure, a beauty in her own right. Her eclectic style attracted the attention of Rimmel London cosmetics, for which the younger Knowles will serve as the company's new face. Check out the photos from her advertising campaign.
"When I announced my role with Rimmel, I felt really proud to see such a positive response especially being that I represent someone of color, a single mom, an artist...and that I don't have to compromise my views to do so," she said in an interview with the company.
Her advice to women is "be healthy, be happy, be beautiful, be whole-heartedly you!"

Don't fool yourselves into thinking that Solange got this gig all on her own. She got this gig because her last name is Knowles and she is the sister of Beyonce. If her last name were Jenkins and she was not related to Beyonce she more than likely would not have gotten this gig. There are just so many beautiful black women of all shades and shapes that Solange could easily have been passed over for another black woman if she were not Beyonce's sister.

I actually didn't like Solange because Beyonce is so over exposed but she has actually been trying to distane herself. I like her fresher less fake look since she cut her hair. My daughter loves her song "Toni" which I didn't until I had a grandson and video reminds me of daughter's drama with her ex! A child is REAL unconditional luv Solange! Good luck on future endeavors!
Brandy (my daugh was one of her MTV Fanatics yrs back, those eyes have it) and Queen Latifah made me luv Covergirl!

Its not the looks, it's the name, if her last name was not associated with Knowles, she wouldn't have a chance. I'm not hatin, she is a pretty girl but there are a lot of pretty girls out here but celebrities have the upper hand, take Eddie Murphy daughter for instance, which she took over some type of hair product for her face or should I say because of her name. These companies need to look for people that dedicate their lives as models not artist or famous people siblings or daughters. That's all folks with different strokes.....

The object is to sell the product and like it or not people with famous names sell products.It is that simple so why make it complicated by looking for unknowns who may or may not achieve the desired results

PEOPLE, don't let this innocent girl fool you all with this glamour make-up, clothes, and hair. This girl is a FAKE just like her sister Beyonce. Solange said she was going to go natural and stick with her roots, WRONG. She got a close cut, with no perm, the next day she had a long azz weave down her back. Then she went from a fro back to straight and back now to a short perm. Girl ain't making no music, can't sing, and any time she is in the media is all about FASHION? She will always be the ignorant one with no class becuase she at one time showed off her azz on a TV Show and showed her true colors. PEOPLE, don't be FOOLED! i happen to like her style her songs are different hence why she probably not as big as her sister she but maybe that is how solange wants it.. as far as her getting the gig because she is beyonce sister maybe that is why or it could be that they have the same father that has been managing beyonce's career and made her a superstar maybe it is that and what is wrong with that anyway white folks been keeping their wealth in the family for years but it is a problem with black folks do it
