The 'Precious' star, who is currently appearing in Showtime's new show, 'The Big C,' used Bobbi Brown cosmetics to create her flawless Golden Globes look and is rumored to have met with representatives at company headquarters to discuss a possible collaboration. Representatives for Bobbi Brown are staying mum, but this could be an interesting partnership if the rumors turn out to be true.
Do you think Sidibe would make a good spokesperson for a line of cosmetics?

Halle Berry has been a Revlon spokesperson since 1996. Other women of color featured in Relvon campaigns include Lucy Liu and Eva Mendes, but none other has had Halle's staying power.

Kerry Washington has appeared in ads for H.I.P. (High Intensity Pigment) cosmetics for L'Oreal, the first campaign in her contract. Kerry says of her endorsement: "It's really exciting for me to be one of the faces of L'Oreal and to be working with a company that has historically represented so many different kinds of women with different kinds of skin color."

This has nothing to do with this young lady's size ---- but they can get a better representative for their cosmetics! That would not convince me to use their products.

Lam, You are a big azz lyer! At least be man or woman enough to admit to your comment. The first statement out of your mouth is that it's not about her size and the next is that in your opinion she should'nt be used as a spokesperson. It's either or, no in betweens. The make-ups is for anyone of color but is stressed for plus sizes women.

The woman is not ugly and just seeing a plus size black woman would make me consider their product. Go Gabourey!

I don't know about this... You will totally be able to see what's on Gabby's face as she has lots of face. The average woman's face is no where near as large.

I say hell no!..A fat slob of a human being being touted as a symbol for black women's beauty?..who would instigate such an insult?...Sidibe declined weight watchers, Jenny craig, slim fast and others but she is gung-ho about makeup?...Don't you all see this woman is strange?..There is no such thing as an obese woman who is proud of her folds of fat..What next playboy?

Mrs E. I think you have a serious problem which only God can fix. Your heart is so black and burdened until it shows in your writing. I am a woman who has been relatively thin my entire life. I'm 5'9 127lbs, married with three wonderful children and never went over 140lbs. during all 3 pregnancies. I feel no need to condemn any obese individual. It would amaze me by her being obese, she would outlive you enjoying her millions and newfound fame. I'm sure she is uncomfortable with her weight and doesn't need the likes of me, you, or anyone telling her when it's time to do something about it. She wears her pain on her sleeve, where as yours is vented on a computer screen. No one knows what you look like, nor do we really care. Seek God and your heart wouldn't be so ugly like your comments.

I think this young lady would be good to represent a cosmetic line like Bobbi Brown. I use to work for the Bobbi Brown counter at Nordstrom , I did makeup for women from all races ,and women and young girls of all sizes whether they were attractive or not they had one thing in common they like makeup. Bobbi Brown cosmetics are very down to earth colors as well as colorful. Her foundations and concealers work well on women of color. If this precious young lady wants to be apart of a line like this one then may god bless her. May any women who feels she has to look like Beyonce to wear makeup or feels she can't wear makeup because she feels she does not look the part, learn that true beauty comes from within and how you feel within yourself is all that matters. Go head Gabourey show your beautiful face to the world!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If Bobbi Brown could actually formulate a foundation shade that matches this young woman's skin, that would make me happy. I am so tired of seeing her out and about with differing skintones on her face than neck, etc. I don't care for her or her projects and am not a fan of Bobbi Brown cosmetics, but I think that the choice of Sidibe is an interesting one, designed to capitalize on her polarizing popularity, and judging by the comments here, it is working!

With her new fame and fortune Gabby needs to buy a full size mirror take off her clothes and make up and take a good look at the girl in the mirror. She has not mentioned a medical problem therefore she suffers from the hand to mouth disease. SHE IS NOT A ROLE MODEL FOR CLOTHES, MAKE-UP OR BLACK WOMEN; SHE IS A SLOVENLY OBESE WOMAN WHO NEEDS TO SHED THE POUNDS NOW. We have a beautiful plus sized cosmetic queen- Queen Latifa. Why do we need another one who can't hold a candle to her?S

Too bad there's no makeup to cover up the ugliness of all of this hatred. Do you haters, really believe that only large sized people have eating disorders??? Hello!ever heard of ANOREXIA or BULIMIA? HAS NO ONE HEARD OF A HEAVY SET PERSON HAVING THYROID DISEASE??She may not have a glandular disorder, who knows. What I do know is that some of you are just great big hypocrites, and I'd rather buy a product from a large-sized, sweetly pleasant Gabby than a small minded ,arrogant ;hateful person any day. Oh, why did I call you hypocrites? How many of you smoke, drink, eat fried foods(all very very bad for your health) cheat just a little on your taxes ,( immoral and illegal) , run the ocassional red light, call in sick on Mondays , because you're to hung over to make it in???/and you have the nerve to call this young woman lazy; a slob, slovenly.etc///LAZY>>>>really,has anyone checked out her accomplishments in the past two years...COME ON!!! LAZY????? and by the way, those of you that are so down on her,,,what are you afraid of really??? Can you even get close to her ambition and courage and natural talent???? What bothers you about her so much??Sounds like you're the ones with the problem. Offer help, not hate....Just awful behavior,I am so saddened by this display of meanness...oh yeah, one more thing, for those of you who are so down on her, who died and put you in charge of the beautiful Black woman commitee. Read your history, look around at your family reunion, look at your familys photp album, we have been rocked to sleep by some beautiful, sister with plenty of arms to comfort you, and lots of lap to hold you, and you brothers know that sometimes.... sometimes..... a little cushion.....etc ... check yourselves...
