Sade proves on the April cover of Ebony that there is nothing old about 51. The 'Soldier of Love' singer looks amazing and ageless in her cover photo, but the magazine has generated some internet buzz because one of the Brit's signature features seems to have been airbrushed away. Her freckled fans are up in arms. It's not as if she wouldn't have looked just as beautiful with her nose and cheeks covered in the familiar dots.
Tell us: do photo editors go overboard with airbrushing? Do you like Sade better with freckles?

I'm not African American, but do have freckles. I think they add character to a face. Sade is especially beautiful with them.

The hypocrisy of the Black elite. We tell our people all the time, it doesn't matter what you look like, it’s what in your hearts we say. But here the most respected black publication world-wide submitting to the "one size fits all" mentality. You have done God's work an injustice by saying his work is not good enough for EBONY. Shame on you. The freckles are SADE with her hair down!

Maybe...just maybe she wanted to wear a base or foundation or even the famous Dermablend to cover them up...especially since she knew she was getting a close up. I noticed that alot of women of all races wear that stuff to hide there blemishes, birthmarks even tats on their faces. I've never seen to many celebs period without it. At least we've seen her without the stuff. If that in fact what it is ...not a airbrushed picture.

People have their opinions whether they are negative or positive. Just because someone doesn't find someone else attrative or beautiful doesn't mean that they are haters. Hate is a very very strong word and some of you younger people use it like you use the word YO. You sound so fuggN hateful when you call someone else a hater. If I said that you were Fugly, does that mean that I hate you? NO NO NO, it means that I think you're fugly...period. As for Sade, I saw her in a short skit on Wanda a few weeks ago and she did not have on makeup. Guess what, although she is a nice looking woman, she looked every bit of 50 and more. He eyes were drooping and her skin looked like that of most caucasian women her age. Not saying that she's caucasian, but that how they age. Sorry. We all know dayum well that Sade no longer look like that cover photo. What ever happened to growing old gracefully? The only alternative to not growing old, is dying young

What difference does it make whether her freckles are covered or exposed? Sade looks lovely either way, her voice is beautiful, her body is in great shape. She's beautiful, just beautiful.

I was a small theatre in north London a few months ago and was amazed to be sitting sbout six seats away from Sade. She looked just as beautiful in the flesh as she does on TV or in Ebony magazine. She doen't need airbrushing!
Now if that other Brit export Seal ever makes the front cover the airbrush girl will have her work cut out for her! (Hey, I'm kiddin lighten up)
