Get it while it's hot! You can now wear the essence of King of Pop Michael Jackson all over your body with a fragrance that has been created out of his DNA called "M." How in the world did this fragrance come to be?
My DNA Fragrance is a company that was started by former bounty hunter–turned-actor Carlton Enoch, who also happens to be African American. Enoch dreamed of making fragrances that were exclusive to each individual, so no two would be alike. The off-the-beaten-path entrepreneur did his homework, studied the formulation of scents and discovered that nearly all of them had alcohol as a base. All of the fragrances in the MY DNA line are made up of either aloe vera or jojoba and not alcohol, which makes them last for as long as 12 hours.
Enoch then met and joined forces with historical hair collector extraordinaire John Reznikoff to concoct scents that are made from strands of famous historical coifs like Jackson's.
'M' comes packaged in a 3-ounce bottle that resembles one of Jackson's legendary outfits. The fragrance sells for $59.99 and you can pre-order it now online at mydnafragrance.com or wait until it becomes available next year in select stores nationwide. Enoch maintains that all of his product lines are affordable and were manufactured with cost factors in mind.
By the way, if you want to douse yourself with the essence of other celebrated greats, the Antiquity line includes fragrances that are engineered from the DNA of such notables as Albert Einstein, John F. Kennedy, Geronimo, Elvis Presley and even Buckwheat (aka William Thomas from the 'Our Gang'/'Lil' Rascals' fame) just to name a few.
Don't want to wear someone else's scent? The company can custom create your very own fragrance. An at-home swab kit is provided for you to collect your DNA sample and presto! Each bottle comes with a certificate of authenticity and a serial number that is solely yours just in case you want to place future orders.
