I have never been a morning person. That does not work out too well when you have to get 3 kids ready for school in the morning. I soooo agree with you on that comment. Many women think that today the tighter, the shorter, the less your clothing is the better. I love the Christmas gift theory. that is the joy of surprise and the want and desire to know whats underneath. When you take it all off from the start then it gets glanced at, oooooed and awwwwed then thrown to the side for something wrapped up. "B" is a very beautiful woman and does not need to be half dressed to show it to the world. Her talent alone speaks for itself.

Interesting subject... I couldn't agree more. Every time you turn on the tv someone is bumping and grinding, bouncing their ass or flashing their breasts. YESSSS! We know that sex is great but there is WAY MORE to life than that! Take Jordan Sparks for instance. She is gorgeous and classy without having to let it all hang out! It scares me when I see little 13 and 14 year old girls dressing and looking like they're 19 or 20! We put so much emphasis on sex that it becomes overwhelming. What's worse is the more flesh other females show on tv, the more insecure many other women become; like showing gobs of flesh is the only way to receive attention. Lady Gaga is one of my girls, but she is another one who acts as if sex is her life-- she was a stripper though.... Honestly she looked a little too skinny in the video to me.

The only talent Beyonce has is selling her body as entertainment.. She knows vocally, she's not talented and thats the reason for why each and every appearence or video she makes she's shakeing her ass in saome man's face and damn near naked. Her ass isn't as fat as she wishes it was anyway.

Why do some black people, especially women, get some up in arms about black women being sexy? It seems like such a double standard and unfair to me. It seems like none of you have anything to say about Angelina Jolie and Charlize Theron getting naked in a movie and simulating sex on screen. I've seen sexy magazine pictures with them as well. Your kids can watch those movies on tv as well if you've HBO, Showtime or have the internet. Beyonce has never did anything like that on film. What Beyonce's costumes basically amount to are a leotard that all dancers from ballet to Broadway dancers wear, and her moves are hip/hop/burlesque/Broadway. I hope some of you are looking at the previews for the movie Nine, which was once a Broadway play, because Nicole Kidman, Kate Hudson, Penelope Cruz and Marion Collitard aren't doing anything different than what Beyonce is doing. Some of you're making me laugh in here talking about Gaga was so classy in the video.
I hope you all saw Gaga's Love Games video, where she's totally naked between two guys and spreads her legs in front of one of them. Get back to me when you see Beyonce do something that shocking in a video. Beyonce seems to know where to draw the line more than many. Black women don't have to be prudish or fear showing their bodies anymore than any race or ethnic group of women. We can celebrate our beauty, femininity and sexuality openly like any other race/ethnic group of women. Again, Beyonce isn't doing anything more shocking than what somebody can see in a sexy Broadway show.

Iris there is a long history of mainstream society stereotyping African American women as nothing but sexual objects, sluts, harlots, or whatever you want to call it. It didn't start with music videos neither. Go back about 200 to 300 yrs. African women have more to offer the world than our bodies. What about a person's heart, soul and mind.
